2003 Annual Rafting Fundraiser July 12th, 2003

"I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all of those who helped support the Capital Swing Dancers' 7th Annual Rafting/BBQ/Pool Party fundraiser last weekend! As a result of your attendance and generosity, we raised almost $1,400 for the 2004 Convention. We had almost 60 rafters and over 100 to our house for the BBQ/pool party following. Believe it or not, we had folks from New York, Arizona, Nevada, recently transplanted from Colorado, the North- South- and East-Bay areas, and many locals as well. Clubs supporting Capital Swing were all our "sister clubs" - BLSDC-Reno, Next Generation-SF, Redwood Empire-Santa Rosa, and many dance studios as well."

"Many contributed extra dollars towards the event, and others volunteered their time, vehicles, favorite recipes and even bodies for clean up. It was a huge success and all due in part to your contributions. Dancing at the Roadhouse (our monthly gig) was also a blast. We had well over 100 in attendance which broke the record!"
