Jason Colacino and Katie Boyle
Workshop September 15th, 3:00 – 5:00 PM
Jason Colacino and Katie Boyle's
professional partnership began three years ago. Their natural
ease with each other is demonstrated in their distinctive
style and connection on the dance floor. As partners they have
competed and taught at numerous national and international
events, both swing and country. They were awarded 1st place in
the Invitational Cabaret at the 2000 Worlds UCWDC Dance
Championships in Edmonton, Canada. In 2000 and again in 2001,
they were 3rd place champions in classic division at the U.S.
Open Swing Dance Championships in California. Both Jason and
Katie have competed in numerous invitational Jack and Jill's
at top U.S. events. Jason has twice won the "Champions of
Champions" Jack and Jill at the Greater Phoenix Swing Dance
Convention, in 1998 and 2000.
Both Katie and Jason live in
the San Francisco Bay Area where they regularly teach at
Rhythm Street Dance Studio in Dublin. They also teach,
perform, and compete at major swing events, and UCWDC events
throughout the US, in Canada, and in Europe. In their
workshops and private lessons students find their teaching
style focuses in great detail on technique, speed, control,
and styling but always, and most importantly, they are sharing
their love of dance with others, and their philosophy that
