ANGEL
AND DEBBIE FIGUEROA have received national acclaim for their perfomances, choreography,
and dance instruction.
ANGEL is the owner of Stepping Out Studios
in New York City. His
choreography and dancing have been seen on film, video, television
(most recently All My Children), in print (Bridal Guide Magazine)
and on stage. He holds over 30 titles in American Style Rhythm,
and has represented the United States at the World Cup in Switzerland. Angel is also the 1998 ASDC, 1997 SOS Grand
National, and the 1996 U.S. Open Cabaret Champion. Angel is most recently the 2001 Greater Phoenix Champions Division
Jack and Jill Champion.
DEBBIE (formerly Debbie Bernard)
is the 2000 Professional Classic Two-Step World Champion. She holds 9 professional country and western
titles and is a United Country Western Dance Council certified
judge. She has appeared twice on television for the
1996 and 1997 TNN Country Dance Invitational.
She has won West Coast Swing Jack and Jill at national
competitions and has 2 Hustle titles to her credit.
TOGETHER, Angel and Debbie have won 6 Classic West
Coast Swing titles at national competitions and placed in the
top 5 at the U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships in the year 2000.
Most recently, Angel and Debbie are the 2001 Seattle Easter Swing,
NADC, and Grand National Classic Swing Champions.
Currently, Angel and Debbie live and teach in New York
City at Stepping Out Studios, and continue to teach, judge, perform
and compete at events all over the world.
